1. Overview
Astravia is an educational space exploration app. The app is designed to let users explore astronomy content, fly spacecraft, save progress, and optionally use multiplayer rooms.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Astravia may store game information locally on your device so the app can remember your progress and preferences. This may include:
- game progress and discoveries;
- credits, unlocked or equipped spacecraft, and upgrades;
- language, graphics, sound, and control preferences;
- redeemed event-code status, if event codes are offered in the future; and
- other settings needed to continue your game.
Local game data is generally kept on the device unless a feature specifically states that it uses an online service.
3. Multiplayer Information
If you choose to use multiplayer, Astravia sends the information needed to operate the multiplayer room to the game server. Depending on the current version, this can include:
- the multiplayer room code;
- a temporary player or session identifier;
- your selected spacecraft and its appearance;
- spacecraft position, movement, and other shared game-state information; and
- a player display name, if the app allows you to choose one.
This information is used to connect players in the same room and synchronize multiplayer gameplay. Multiplayer is not intended as a public chat service.
4. Network and Technical Data
Astravia's online features may be hosted using Cloudflare services. Like most internet services, the hosting provider may automatically process technical information such as IP address, connection timestamps, request information, and security or diagnostic data needed to deliver and protect the service.
This technical processing is used for service delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security. Astravia does not use this information to build advertising profiles.
5. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Astravia does not require access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise location, or health information for its core space-exploration features. The app does not sell personal information.
6. Children and Family Use
Astravia is designed as an educational experience that may be used by younger users. We do not knowingly use children's information for advertising or profiling. Users should avoid sharing real-world personal information through any multiplayer display-name feature.
7. Data Retention
Game progress stored locally remains on your device until it is cleared, reset, or the app is removed, subject to the behavior of your device and backups. Multiplayer room data is intended to be used for live gameplay and may be temporary. Hosting providers may retain limited technical logs for security and operational purposes according to their own retention practices.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect online game traffic and reduce unauthorized access. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Third-Party Services
Astravia may rely on Cloudflare infrastructure to host the app website, multiplayer server, or related network services. Cloudflare processes data under its own privacy and security practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Astravia adds or changes features. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
